Are Her Kittens Causing This?
Posted on January 9th, 2010 2 commentsHiya.
My auntie has recently had 2 new kittens, they are 5 months old and they are burmese…The first time we went up when they were there my 2 1/2 year old got really breathless juts before we went…2nd time we stayed the weekend, and we ended up at the out of hours doctors with him on a nebulizer as he had been wheezing really badly…he was on steriods for 3 days and had a trip to the childrens a&e too
Anyways after 4 weeks of not going up we went up yesterday…the same has happened again altho hes not that bad and we have a blue inhaler and a spacer so we can get it into him.
Problem is…i dont know if its my auntys cats…its been well over 24 hours since he was with them and hes started up, but when we got home last night he had a cough….
Now will my aunties cats most likely be causing this, or is there something in the air?!

It is the cats. Avoid having your son around them. Take your son to an allergist, most kids will have multiple allergiess. They can do “scratch” tests on your child. They will scratch and put different types of allergie producing known irritants, if your child develops a hive, then he/she is allergic. You can start the allergy shots and your child will eventually not be bothered by these known irritants ;
