Is It Possible That My Son Is Allergic?
Posted on January 8th, 2010 4 commentsEvening All
Basically…in October last year, my aunty got 2 new kittens, they are burmese, she already has 2 “moggys” which my son has been fine with.
We actually went up for the weekend – and the cats were present, my son started to wheeze, he has never done this before with the other 2 moggys
My Mum has a “moggy” my partners mum had a “moggy” and now to rub more salt in the wound my mum has bought 2 new “moggys”
Now my aunt cant understand why im “claiming” my son is allergic to her 2 burmese kittens, we have ended up in hospital 3 times, one time was intensive care and it was 8 weeks ago and we last went to see my aunty 2 weeks prior to that, the other 2 times were 2 days after we had been up
It seems obvious to me – but what do i do about my aunty? is it possible that my son is allergic to the burmese type?
Thanks for any answers xxx -

I’m Getting 3 Hens That I’ll Keep In My Backyard And Need Advice!!!?
Posted on January 5th, 2010 1 commentI decided that I wanted to become more “organic” so I’m getting 2 rode island red hens and one that lays a lot of eggs but don’t know the breed. I also got over 150 pounds of wheat (burmese or something like that) and about the same amount of corn. I have a large backyard but also have an aviary about 6′L X 2′W X 6′H. Should I keep them in the aviary? should I feed them just corn and wheat and what ever they can get in my back yard? I have a dog, a cat, exotic birds and a pond. Are hens noisy? I have great neighbors and don’t want to bother them, I told them I was getting the hens and that they could have organic eggs whenever they wanted to. I get the grain in large quantities for free and was wondering if I could eat it too but don’t know how to cook it or what to do with it. I’ve been donating it to other people with birds. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Why Does My Kitten Have Bald Patches On His Face?
Posted on January 5th, 2010 1 commentHe’s an 8 month old moggy/Burmese cross, and according to the vet he’s completely healthy. Ever since I got him as a young kitten, he’s had no fur from the base of his ears down to his upper eyelids- so he has 2 triangle-shaped bald patches on his face. Recently I’ve noticed the fur on his nose & between his eyes is thinning, and he has little bald patches on his chin. The fur everywhere else is normal and healthy. I thought at first that the baldness seemed to be ’spreading’ because he must be losing fur in fights, but I guess if he was fighting, he’d be getting injured, and he hasn’t been. There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with his skin in the bald patches (it’s pale white, just like the rest of him).
So does anyone know why my cat appears to have male pattern baldness??
