Trying To Decide Between Two Cat Names?
Posted on February 24th, 2010 20 commentsI have a new cat and have two names I’m thinking of naming him. Either Apollo or Strider.
I like them for different reasons.
Apollo: Greek God of the sun, fits with the cat’s appearance, as he is a spotted bengal and has a glittery coat. But I’m not sure about the name because it has three syllables and I’m not sure if it would be too hard to say repeatedly, as well as for the cat to respond to.
Strider: Has two syllables, so it’s easier to say. But I don’t know the cat’s personality yet, so I don’t know if it would fit this name. Although it is the name of a person (in Lord of the Rings), so maybe that wouldn’t matter too much.
Which one do you prefer? If you had a cat with a longer name (more than two syllables) do you shorten it or wish it was shorter? -
Sick Ragdoll Kitten…help Me Decide What To Do!!?
Posted on December 25th, 2009 12 commentsI have been offered a 20 week old ragdoll kitten but the lady giving her away says she has a runny nose and eyes. She has had one set of shots and she doesnt know whats wrong with this kitten. I have two very healthy cats…a Devon Rex and a Ragdoll…all current on vacc’s and happy healthy girls. I know if I take this kitten she will need to see a vet long before I bring her home…IF I even go through with this. What bothers me is that this lady doesnt want to spend the money to get a diagnosis and I am afraid what will happen if I DONT do something…this poor girl needs medical help but I am not willing to risk my own cats health…what do I do…any ideas of what might be wrong with this kitten. I could take her to a vet tomorrow but I could get myself in over my head if she is really sick…but I hate to just leave her getting sicker and sicker…ack..what to do??

I Really love cats, and i wud love to get one
I Would really love a birman or a ragdoll cat.
My family had a russian blue a but few years ago it had to be put down because it was sik..i still miss him.
My sister sometimes gets hives from cats. but she will probably move out of our house soon since shes pretty old.
Soo i was planning to have the cat outside in the day and keep it inside from dusk to dawn. untill my sis moves out then it can be indoors most of the time.
FYI i live in a cal-de-sac in the surburbs so hardly any cars come into our street and if they are its would be the neighbours and they would probably drive slowly because they there are little kids living in the street. So there is a low chance of it getting hit by a car.
Soo do you think i should get a cat or is it not right for me???
and if it is shuld i get a raggie or birman lol
anyway i am soooo bored lol -
