What Is The Difference Between Clipping A Puppy’s Ears Or Tail And Declawing A Kitten?
Posted on February 7th, 2010 11 commentsI was raised on a ranch, I helped brand cows and castrate sheep. I just bought two Bengal kittens and while I understand that the procedure is brutal, I have an older cat that I had declawed and she never missed a beat, she dose everything she needs to do with her back claws. If declawing a kitten is so horrible and mean why do people clip some breeds of puppy’s ears or tails? How is that different? Any insight anyone might have on adjusting from a ranch girl to a city pet owner would be appreciated.

Posted on January 7th, 2010 3 commentsMaybe she has some Siamese blood in her family tree. I have never heard of an all black one, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible.

Is It Safe To Use Debrox, Mineral Or Sweet Oil For Wax Build Up In A Cat’s Ears? Tresaderm Is Now Too Costly.?
Posted on October 2nd, 2009 5 commentsI have a 9 year old Ragdoll that has oily skin, and has always had increased wax build-up in his ears, compared to other cats. If none of these items are safe to use in cats, could you please recommend something less expensive than the Tresaderm that he has always used?

Why Is My Cat Losing Color On His Ears?
Posted on September 5th, 2009 1 commentCoincidentally, he is experiencing hip or leg pain. He vomits about twice a week. I have not changed his diet. He has not lost weight. He is a two-year-old full breed Ragdoll. Strictly indoor cat. His dark brown (seal) ears have fur, but the middle of his ears are experiencing color loss. Now the color is a light brown and beige color. The very tips are still seal. Is there a connection between the fading color of his ears and the leg/hip pain?
