How Do I Get My Bengal Kitten To Stop Jumping At My Face, Biting And Scratching?
Posted on February 24th, 2010 4 commentsI’ve had him for two months and he’s generally really sweet but sometimes he can be really naughty. If you say a stern no and put him on the floor he becomes vindictive and will jump at your face and bite you. I’ve never had a cat before so not sure if this is a Bengal thing or a kitten phase. Please help because I want him to grow up well behaved and nice. Quite often if I switch the light off at night before he’s ready to go to bed he’ll pounce on my face and bite me.

Why Does My Kitten Have Bald Patches On His Face?
Posted on January 5th, 2010 1 commentHe’s an 8 month old moggy/Burmese cross, and according to the vet he’s completely healthy. Ever since I got him as a young kitten, he’s had no fur from the base of his ears down to his upper eyelids- so he has 2 triangle-shaped bald patches on his face. Recently I’ve noticed the fur on his nose & between his eyes is thinning, and he has little bald patches on his chin. The fur everywhere else is normal and healthy. I thought at first that the baldness seemed to be ’spreading’ because he must be losing fur in fights, but I guess if he was fighting, he’d be getting injured, and he hasn’t been. There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with his skin in the bald patches (it’s pale white, just like the rest of him).
So does anyone know why my cat appears to have male pattern baldness?? -
How Can I Train My Cat To Stop Her From Randomly Attacking Me In The Face When I Pick Her Up?
Posted on December 16th, 2009 8 commentsI have had my cat for nearly a year she is 2 year 6 months old half bengal cat, my partner bought her and did’nt realise she was pregnant so she had kittens last xmas which have all been re-homed and all have been fixed including the mum, she calmed down a bit after her neutering which was back in Feb this year and gradually I have been trying to forge a relationship with this cat, she will come to you for affection and lies on her back inviting you to pet her but she sometimes just flips out for no reason, I had to bring her in from the garden earlier on today and she normally lets me pick her up without too much upset anyway she’s just attacked my face again for the 2nd time just inches away from my eyes no warning signs like hissing or growling to indicate she is going to do this she just lashes out and I feel sure she knows she should’nt do this, how can I train her to not do this or has anyone got any tips on this kind of behaviour? It really upsets me and as I am a great cat lover and a responsible owner. How do I teach her that this is wrong?
