  • Why Does My Cat Follow Me In The Street :)?

Posted on December 19th, 2009 admin 3 comments

I have a bengal cat, he’s huge but healthy and a big softy :D :D
Ive had him a few years now and the story about how i have him is he was kicked out my his owners, so my Nana was feeding him & made a bed for him on her porch. But then i said i’ll take him in and look after him. I live in the neighbourhood next to my Nana so i thought it would be a good idea i take him in as he would recognise the area.
He is hardly ever in the house, he’ll mainly just come in for food or just sit in the living room for a few minutes – does that mean he wants attention when he does that?
He’s also really quiet, infact he never meows – Has anyone else got any cats like this?
He also follows me in the street. For example i will be walking to my Nana’s house and he follows me all the way and will wait for me to come out my Nana’s house. Then he will follow me back to our house :) – Why does he do this? He never follows me in the house, just outside?

  • Does Your Siamese Cat Follow You All Around The House?

My 8-month-old Siamese cat follows me all over the house in almost dog-like fashion. My other cats don’t do this. Is this normal behaviour for Siamese? Will she outgrow this?

  • How Can I Teach My Burmese Male Cat, To Do Tricks And Come For His Name And Follow Me?

Posted on June 24th, 2009 admin 5 comments

Hi there…here’s a great website which shows you how to train cats to come and sit, sit up, lay down, walk on leash and other behaviours: http://www.catsplay.com/dailycat.php3?ca…
The key thing to remember when training cats is to always train right before meal time with food treats so if your Burmese is free fed you will need to switch to a scheduled feeding to help your cat stay more focused during training. Training sessions should always be short and fun or cats will quickly lose interest in learning. Each technique should be taught one at a time until they are perfected before moving on to another behaviour (aka tricks).
