I Need Advice From Parents Or People Of Similar Situations: My Mom Is Abusive And Suicidal?
Posted on February 15th, 2010 5 commentsI don’t know what to think of her: she will say really nice things and give me cool gifts and was nice at times (that is the side most people know)…but she also made me do all the housework, wouldn’t let me see friends, yelled at me everyday, made me cry a few times per week, and tormented/threw stuff/hit me (usually just my arms) as well. She even made an example about how evil cars are after two people very close to me died in car wrecks in the very same week
I’m a freshman in college now and she constantly guilt trips me for moving out. She guilts me into cleaning her house all weekend like I did when I lived with her, threatens to kill herself, screams at me and even her friends, tells me that i’ll regret the day she dies, and even keeps a death note by her bed.
Even today she forwarded me an email with photos of my dog and me/my cat and then she had a long note sent to tons of other people asking if they wanted to adopt my dog!
She talks about selling her house, but we both know it won’t sell for two years and by then (because my boyfriend is a graduate student) I will have a place to shelter the pets. Tonight after she probably figured I had stopped crying, she sent me a message, “Too bad I have to get rid of the pets. I assume you read my email. Good night.” That means…she is also getting rid of my $1000 dollar ragdoll cat who only likes me, my black cat who plays fetch with me and is the nicest cat ever, and even a stray who I saved after she was starving and hit by a car who didn’t trust people for TWO years! And of course my dog who even attacked my mom once when she tried hitting me
I’m so upset and I know if I cut her out of my life she’ll kill herself and/or find a way to ruin my life…
but I keep taking my anger out on my boyfriend (who was there for me since I met him and he saw my mom’s evil side and he (who wouldn’t hurt a fly) even wishes she were dead so she couldn’t torture me!)
She also works with the police (I don’t keep touch with my dad…divorced…because he was abusive and a drug dealer etc)so I know she can find me no matter where I go!
I can’t take it anymore…After year of torture, I got to move out of the house and she still won’t let me be happy…She will never admit her mistakes…I don’t know what to do…My boyfriend has even cried because of what she has put me through…
I just need advice please! I don’t know what to do!
