What Is The Best Way To Socialize A Kitten With Another 4 Year Old Cat?
Posted on January 22nd, 2010 2 commentsI have a 5 month old male Ragdoll kitten that I have been trying to introduce to my 4 year old female Tabby cat for a couple of months now. They have both been fixed if that makes any difference. The kitten is mostly kept in my bedroom and I try and bring him (the kitten) out and hold him so our girl can be introduced, but she always hisses. I have also tried putting him in a carrier and letting her approach him, but she just hisses at him. When the girl (adult cat) is sleeping in a certain room I let him out to run around so he can get used to his surroundings and so his scent will be in the other parts of the house as well. He initially was submissive to her, but has snuck out of the room a couple of times and he immediately runs to her and chases her because he wants to play which scares her. I don’t expect them to be best buds, but will I ever be able to let him out of my room full time without one of them getting hurt?
