How Do I Get My Cat To Stop Stealing My Other Cat’s Food?
Posted on February 4th, 2010 3 commentsI have two cats, one is about 9 months old, he is a Ragdoll X named Tifa (thought he was a girl when I got him as a kitten), the other one is about 6years old, he is a Russian Blue X named Yoda (not my choice). Basically, Tifa keeps stealing Yoda’s food. Yoda likes to eat some and then come back later, but Tifa will gobble his food as fast as possible and then get into Yoda’s. I’ve tried just feeding them more but it makes no difference, Tifa will just eat until there’s no more food for him to steal. I’ve tried squirting him with water, yelling at him, light smacks, everything I can think of, but he won’t stop doing it. I can’t feed them seperately, because Tifa will just go and find where I’ve put Yoda’s food. I can put Yoda’s food out of Tifa’s reach when he’s done nibbling, but I can’t be there all the time to put it back and guard him when he decides he wants more. My main concern is that Tifa will get overweight. I don’t understand this behaviour, it’s like his stomach isn’t telling him when he’s full; I had things to do when they were eating tonight and I saw him after, he’d eaten like all their food (about a whole can!) and he looked so round…He definitely doesn’t have worms, they were both wormed about a month or so ago…Could this be some sort of weird thing to do with trying to assert dominance? He also nags us for food when we are eating…

How Do I Stop My Cat?
Posted on January 24th, 2010 10 commentsI have a 3 year old male Ragdoll who is very attached to me. Now and then when I come home there will be cat pee in my bed. My sister and brother in law live with me and Mocha never pees in there bed. The other day i got out of the shower and he had done it but it was on my clothes which were on my bed. I have taken him to the vet many times and he has NO medical problems. How do i stop this. My female cat doesnt do it. I clean the box every day and its the same litter he has had since he was a baby. He does use the litter box often. I dont know what to do anymore. HELP

How Can I Get My Cat To Accept To Accept My New Kitten And Stop Being Violent ?

I have a 7mth old bengal x siamese female cat who since i got her at 8wks old has been quite agressive at times – scratchin and biting and drawing blood, at other times extremely loving.
recently she had been better and not scratching as much, I put this down to her being a kitten.
I just got another kitten a male who is 8wks old and my cat has been trying to attack him and has started growling and hissing at everyone, also attacking me if I approach her.
I have got the cats seperated at the moment as cannot risk the small kitten getting hurt.
Any advice ? I would be very grateful.
