  • As I Thank You All With My Siamese Or Not Cat Question, I Learned That There Are Black, Green-eyed Orientals.?

Posted on February 11th, 2010 admin 1 comment

Because of some white on him, I know my cat is not a purebred, but in doing more research, asking for information about Black Siamese Cats, I learned that yes, there ARE green-eyed black Oriental cats. Here is one website I went to, if anyone is interested in checking it out: http://www.palantir.co.uk/oriental.html
I would still like to contact some of you who provided me with some great information, but am not sure if my past 2 questions will remain open. I don’t know, but something still tells me (or seems to be :-) ) that my chatterbox shiny, mostly black, green-eyed cat has some Siamese in him. (Is Oriental different? The site URL I provided was found in my “Siamese” search – Ask.com.) Thanks again, everyone. Have a Purrfect day!

  • Will There Be Dominance Issues Among Two, Older Male Cats?

Posted on February 6th, 2010 admin 4 comments

I have three cats; two females and a male all between the ages of 5-7. Yesterday I saw a beautiful 6 year old male ragdoll cat up for adoption. I am seriously debating on whether I should adopt him. The only thing that concerns me are possible dominance issues between the two males. My male is so laid back and has such a sweet disposition yet has only been around other female cats. Anyone have any suggestions or is it just too risky? Oh btw, all my cats are fixed and declawed including the one I may adopt. He also gets along well with other cats according to the previous owner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • Is There A Humane Way To Blunt Cats Teeth Just A Little?

Posted on January 28th, 2010 admin 7 comments

Please don’t answer saying “train your cat” or “that horrible” as i am not on about filing them or giving him a brick to chew on!! George my wonderful Bengal is 1 and a half years, his is trained not to bite, but he still catches us mostly by accident with his incredably sharp teeth, i know you can get soft paws for cats claws, i was just wondering if there is anything that would wear the teeth just a little, or make them slightly less sharp in any way, by the way he is an indoor cat so does not need them sharp for defence!
